DESCRIPTION
This stunningly located stone built property was once the local police house and station many years ago and in more recent times was used as a very spacious home. Sadly the property is now in disrepair and requires complete refurbishment but with investment this could be a most desirable property. From the Loch side location there are widespread and uninterrupted views down Loch Carron and across the Loch to North Strome. The accommodation within comprises hallway, 2 public rooms, kitchen, rear porch, walk-in pantry, dining room and bathroom on the ground floor. The upper floor has 2 large bedrooms and a big storage cupboard. The subjects occupy a pretty area of garden ground that is obviously very well planted although somewhat overgrown but undoubtedly could be a wonderful area from which to enjoy the stunning views from. A long private access driveway leads off the very quiet public road to parking in front of the house.
LOCATION
Stromeferry is a pretty little highland village situated on the south-eastern bank of Loch Carron with its own small railway station with a regular service to Inverness. At one time a ferry ran from Stromeferry across to North Strome on the opposite side of the Loch. The village of Strathcarron with its own shop and post office is just a few miles away but the nearest main village is that of Kyle of Lochalsh which is about 12 miles on the A890. Kyle has excellent services and facilities including a supermarket, selection of shops, hotels, restaurants, a modern health and dental centre and a swimming pool with gym.
