DESCRIPTION
The subjects for sale comprise of an owner-occupied croft extending to 2.78 acres (1.13 hectares) or thereby that extends from the shoreline of Loch na Cairidh up to the public road with a smaller area lying on the opposite side of the road (A87). Included on the croft land is a substantial stone built 1 ½ storey house, now in a derelict condition, along with a detached stone barn lying to the side of the house. The immediate garden area extends to 0.25 acres or thereby and this area is somewhat overgrown. There is, at present, no vehicular access onto the subjects. From the property there are lovely open views and the croft land lying to the front of the house is relatively flat and uncultivated. The house has been unoccupied for a number of years and is in a dangerous state of repair. Interested parties must exercise caution when visiting and we strongly advice against viewing the upper floor. This is a total refurbishment project.
LOCATION
Dunan is a small township situated along the shores of Loch na Cairidh, a narrow stretch of water that separates the Island of Scalpay from Skye. The Skye Bridge connecting the Island to the mainland is 8 miles south of Dunan. The nearest main village Broadford is 4 miles to the south and here you will find a supermarket, selection of shops, hotels, restaurants, a 24 hour petrol station and shop and a cottage hospital and modern medical centre. Portree the Island’s capital is 20 miles north of the site and offers all the facilities you would expect of a growing town including a secondary school, supermarkets, selection of shops and leisure facilities.

THE HOUSE
The house itself is a stone built 1 ½ storey property with protruding front extension all under a slate roof. There is an adjoining single storey extension to the side with corrugated iron roof (probably a workshop/storage area). No measurements of photos were taken due to the condition of the subjects.
Please note the house site and garden ground are presently being decroted.
OUTBUILDINGS
Situated on the southern edge of the land away from the house is a substantial single storey stone outbuilding with corrugated iron roof.
