The Gaelic college Sabhal Mor Ostaig, primary school and medical centre are close by. The village of Ardvasar is some 3 miles away where there is a village shop, hotel and post office. The terminus for the main ferry to Mallaig on the mainland can be found in Armadale which is some 3 miles from Kilmore.
The nearest main village is Broadford approximately 13 miles to the north where there are good local services including a supermarket, petrol station, bank, selection of smaller shops, hotels and restaurants.
